Societal Continuity is a new business area where we focus on building a solid society based on wider resource bases. Today resource constraints and knowledge gaps obstruct for example municipalities and regions to reach a long-term sustainability due to lacking continuity capability in vital regional organics. In our view bridging knowledge gaps entails dealing with new types of capacities that can support knowledge production. Knowledge has the potential to lead to innovative solutions that integrates a wider pool of resources into societal building, thus vital for regional continuity capability.
Our work aims primarily to initiate and support collaborative processes in various contexts such as municipalities and regions that will optimize the local resource bases. Among others, we work with integrating civic society into various development processes. Civic society as a sector can provide an important link for social inclusion and as an effect be an important arena for local resource building. Today, different societal groups lack access to social, cultural and economic resources. We reach our goals through involving stakeholders and by promoting mutual learning between different actors in the context we work in. Thereby, knowledge bases are created.
